Jay Trautman, PhD

President & CEO, Co-Founder

Jay Trautman is a scientist and entrepreneur who, over the last decade, co-founded and is a Director of Invenio Imaging, Vedere Bio II (a spin out of Vedere Bio, which was acquired by Novartis in 2020), Aratome, and Photoswitch Biosciences.  Jay started his career at Bell Labs, was an executive at Cytokinetics (CYTK) and at Amersham, which acquired his first start-up (Praelux). He earned his PhD in Chemistry from Cornell University.

Chris Freudiger, PhD

VP Research & Development, Co-Founder

Chris Freudiger is an accomplished spectroscopist and the co-inventor of Stimulated Raman Scattering microscopy. He co-founded Invenio and has lead the development and commercialization of multiple generations of imaging systems. He enjoys working with customers to improve our products and developing new applications of technology that can positively impact the treatment of patients and reduce healthcare costs. Chris grew up in Munich, Germany and came to the United States on a Fulbright Fellowship and obtained his PhD in Physics from Harvard University.

J. Fernando Corredor

VP Sales & Marketing

J. Fernando Corredor is a medical device executive with a successful record of helping companies grow and customers acquire innovative technologies for over 20 years. He has specialized in startups with revolutionary and disruptive solutions like intense-pulse light devices, intraoperative MRI, portable CT scanners, and artificial intelligence in medical imaging. Companies he has worked for have been acquired by Medtronic, Integra LifeSciences and Samsung. He's a graduate of Boston University, with a BS in Business Administration.

Taren Nguyen

VP Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs

Taren Nguyen has two decades of experience as a medical device executive with diverse regulatory approvals for Class II & III medical devices at Incyte, Roche & Sanmina. He has specialized in IVD/PCR diagnostics, MRI/CT, surgical robotics, lasers, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), portable AI/ML ultrasound, & AI/ML Point of Care (POC) diagnostics. He has designed world-class Quality Management Systems (QMS) and lean CGXP for compliance with FDA, EU, CA, AU regulations, and ISO 13485 standard. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Lead Auditor. Taren earned his BA in Biochemistry from Cal State University, East Bay, and a MS in Management Information System from DeVry University.

Steven Pastore, MD

Director of Clinical Education

Steven Pastore serves as Director of Clinical Education at Invenio Imaging. After training in pathology during medical school and residency at Northwell Health, he joined Invenio to further explore his interests in digital pathology and artificial intelligence. He currently functions as Invenio's in-house expert in SRH image analysis by educating new clinical users and supporting experts in the field on advanced research projects. He earned his medical degree at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University.

Peijun Cong, PhD

Director of Laser Engineering

Peijun Cong specializes in lasers and spectroscopy. Prior to Invenio Imaging he held various technical and management positions at Symyx Technologies, Accelergy Corporation, Bayspec Inc., Lighthouse Photonics, and Precise Light Surgical. He earned his PhD in Chemical Physics from Caltech.
